LENOVE NEW PHONE S90 IS A 'STEAL' TO APPLE

Design similarities in mobile are nothing new. It doesn’t happen as often today, but it’s been a darker part of the industry for years. This company copies that company, that company copies this company, and so forth. But Lenovo’s new S90 Sisley, which is bound for China, is practically a spitting image of Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Not only that, but Lenovo’s marketing for the device is strikingly similar, too; just check out the pictures above, swiped from the phone’s website, and tell me you don’t see similarities.
Apple’s iPhone has been a hot commodity in China this year, and now that the handsets offer even larger screens, their status has risen in a market Apple has identified as key for the iPhone’s growth. We’re not saying Lenovo intended to copy Apple outright, but there’s really no avoiding the fact that the Chinese company drew inspiration from the iPhone’s rounded edges and aluminum design. Lenovo even chose a similar wallpaper in its marketing.

Lenovo has admitted that its new device does share “external similarities” with Apple’s device, but said it didn’t copy the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. “Considering the product design lifecycle of any smartphone—at least a year in planning and prototyping—it’s not possible to copy a design so quickly,” Lenovo said. Seeing knock-off iPhone designs out of China is really nothing new, but rarely do we see it from such a large company. Lenovo is the world’s biggest PC manufacturer, and is the proud owner of Motorola, which has the best.
Lenovo’s new device sells for 1,999 Yuan (about $325), and offers a 5-inch 720 display, NFC, 16GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. While the phone does look a lot like the iPhone, the screen doesn’t curve over into the rounded side, while the device’s antenna isn’t quite as pronounced. The colors are the same, however, while the phone’s UI looks like it’s trying hard to look like iOS. Judge for yourself in the pictures above.
