Earlier this morning, ensuing last Friday’s incredibly precarious online Apple Store iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus pre-order process, Apple announced that the company officially broke their record for the most pre-orders of any iPhone model in history.
Doubling their previous record, which was set by the iPhone 5 in 2012, Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed that the company sold over 4 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units within the first 24 hours of being available for pre-order.
iPhone 6 And iPhone 6 Plus Orders
Of course, immediately following the opening of Apple’s mobile Apple Store app (excluding their official Apple Store site), iPhone 6 Plus supplies were showing significant signs of shortages, indicating that Apple may allocate more of the devices to Apple retail stores on launch day.
Both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available for in-store pickup, purchase and delivery (for those who pre-ordered quickly enough) this Friday
